Young People's Theatre (YPT) is presenting the timeless musical Annie from November 11 to December 29. It was originally slated to run to December 19th but the run was extended in response to its overwhelming popularity. This will undoubtedly be a fantastic family show and probably the hottest ticket of the season!

Up-and-coming Indian-Canadian theatre performer and RBC Emerging Artist Natalia Gracious will be making her YPT debut in this timeless musical. She will be performing alongside Canadian musical theatre legend Louise Pitre and Dora Award winning and two-time Juno Award nominated actor/singer Sterling Jarvis. Quite exciting for a young performer who every recently graduated from Sheridan Institute’s Musical Theatre – Performance program!

Natalia is very excited to be making her YPT debut this Holiday season. Her past theatre credits include: Two years as Sister Mary Leo in Nunsense (Harbourfront Theatre), Felicity in Far from the Heart (Sheatre), Princess #12 in Once Upon a Mattress, and Catherine u/s in Pippin (both Theatre Sheridan). One of the world’s favourite comic strip characters takes centre stage in this beloved musical – winner of 9 Tony Awards!

After escaping the orphanage, Annie sets off in search of her parents. In series of adventures, the spunky, optimistic redhead dodges the evil machinations of orphanage matron Miss Hannigan, befriends President F D Roosevelt and encounters a billionaire looking to improve his image. Some of Broadway’s most popular show tunes, including Tomorrow, It’s the Hard Knock Life and Easy Street are features in this Theatre for Young Audiences (YPA) version of the renowned musical.
